August 2021 – Summer Travels + Fits

Friends! It has been a total hot minute since I have uploaded a post to Labels and Linds. February to be exact. I definitely had no plans to wait so long to write, but ish (life) happens ya know?! I am excited to be back and to continue sharing all of my favorite things with my little corner of the internet.

I ended the spring with a new mindset, new goals, a new life chapter, and many unexpected blessings. While so many things are hard to understand, I have been clinging to this verse: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
—Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah 40:31 speaks to me at least a handful of times a day, I pray this verse over my friends and family each week – simply because we never know what the people we care most about are dealing with. If you are here, I want you to know that you are strong, you are loved, you are noticed and I hope you are doing exactly what makes you happiest!

Now let’s talk fashion…

Over the last few months, I have spent time catching up with so many friends, making new friends, spending more time with my family and going on quick trips just because..why not?! I have also spent lots of time doing a little (or a lot) of retail therapy, adding updates to my closet! Everything I have pictured below are pieces I have added to my closet over the last two months – plus links to make it easy to shop directly.

We’ll start with a few basics…

A few comfy staple pieces, plus some that are easily dressed up or down! All affordable, as always. The KISS vintage tee is a splurge, but so worth it. I grabbed the white tee and tie-dye’d sweatshirt because they were on major sale. The grey shorts were an in-store purchase from Madewell, but I found them online! So comfy and easy to dress up or down. Sunnies are from FP and perfect for lake weekends. Lastly, key organization at its’ finest – I recently got new keys and decided to try my best at keeping them organized, so this Lululemon set of key rings has helped me keep my life together (sort of).

First let’s talk about this black ribbed midi dress…hello comfortable and hello $20! I paired it with the green pump, and also a pair of sandals when I was on a trip to New Orleans recently. The side slits give it a little leg action too 😉

I paired the pair of black linen joggers with the leopard tie front top – both are on sale! I say size down in the top, the M was pretty big on me.

The jeans may be my favorite piece out of this entire lot…they are sooo good. I have worn them a ton of times, and once with the pink jumpsuit. A perfect duo for a GNO!

On to a few dressier options…

This little black dress is everything y’all…AND it’s less than $30! I wore it on a bachelorette trip and it is super comfy. I paired it with a pair of block heels – the sleeves would not stay up on me (I am 5’2) but I let them fall off my shoulder and I honestly liked it better that way. I haven’t worn the leopard print shirt dress yet but plan to wear it to a birthday party this weekend, it is super affordable too, like $15 affordable!

The pink dress is soooo comfortable, lightweight, and fit like a glove. It is petite sizing so it is perfect for my shorter girls, I wore a pair of wedges and changed into sneakers later that night for comfort – both looked super cute! I did not order the 2nd pink dress in the picture above but it would also work perfect for an end of summer GNO!

We all know that I love denim and ruffles, this skirt is the best of both worlds and it is on sale for less than $40! Paired with a simple black tank and sandals, I am obsessed!

Stay tuned for alllll the transitional and fall pieces coming soon! I don’t know about y’all but I am beyond ready for it. Happy shopping!

xoxo,

Linds
